What Is A Dog Training program?

At C.T.C. our programs are geared toward having a well mannered, affectionate and responsive dog that is part of the family, and a pleasure to be around. We don't feel training should be geared toward a precision oriented, robot dog with no personality. In saying this, we also stress that your dog should obey your commands immediately.

We have set up a goal oriented program that gets the maximum response from your dog, with a minimum of effort on your part.

This is what we teach you!--- Every C.T.C. program involves 6 areas of training:

1. On/Off Leash Obedience (Verbal/Hand Signals)
   Your dog will learn the following commands: heel, sit, stay, down, wait at doors (car & house), extended down stays. On and off leash*. Other custom commands like: place, jump on, boundary training, etc., are addressed in this portion of the program.

2. Behavior Modification:
   Commands like: "off", "drop it", "no", "go potty", "no bite", riding in a car, house manners and other custom commands are addressed in this portion of the program.

3. Temperament Training
   You will receive instruction on how to "form" your dogs temperament, and direct it in a positive way. We address problems like hyperactivity, separation anxiety, aggression and phobias, etc.

4. Domestic Adjustment
   You and your dog will learn how and why "domestic adjustment" is the most important part of any training program. It's a key to a lifetime of harmony with your pet. This portion of the program involves all family members.

5. Dog Stopper
   Another totally unique proprietary aspect of our program. Paul Moran developed the "Dog Stopper" training aid. Its remarkable results are achieved by years of research. These techniques can only be learned in a C.T.C. program.

6. Programs On Video
   All programs are pre-recorded on video and yours to keep at the end of the program.

Some people think that if another person trains their dog then the dog will only listen to the trainer and not them. What is true for some other training programs, is not the case for C.T.C.

We say that, "on the day of pick up from us, your dog does not completely respond to you we will immediately refund the entire training fee". We pride ourselves in offering the most comprehensive, personalized private training available today.

We are serious about "results" and more importantly about your control" of your dog. This program also includes several "follow up" lessons.

Walk In A five week program, 1 hour per week with one on one personal training.

Doggy Day Care Training.

Drop your dog off at our private training facility every day for day care and training combined.

In The Privacy Of Your Own Home: (5 Weeks)

By training your in your home you increase your dog's learning time and retention skills. Let's face it, if you ever studied for an exam would you do it in a shopping mall? You would definitely learn more at home. And if you had your own private tutor, the answer is obvious.

Coast to Coast "tutors" are experienced caring professionals that come to you in the security of your own home. No more fighting traffic and fido, to get to a "dog training class". You pick the day and the time that best suits your schedule. We come to you!

If you do not have a busy schedule and have the time necessary to reinforce what you have learned in your sessions, then this program will be all you need to achieve excellent results with your dog.

Ultra Puppy (8 to 20 weeks of age) A highly specialized "developmental" program, designed to give your puppy a total education. It is not a kindergarten program. It is a complete training program that produces a puppy who can accomplish everything that an adult dog can learn, and does not alter the puppy's personality.

The end result is geared to maintaining that cute puppy personality, yet having a well behaved family member to be proud of.

Ultra Puppy dispels the myth that puppies have to be six months old before formal training, and that it breaks their spirits, or they can't retain what they learn.

An Ultra Puppy program accelerates your puppy's learning process. It increases it's communications skills and produces a "superior" dog every time. An 8 week old puppy has the learning capabilities of an adult dog… it just makes sense. You wouldn't wait until your child was 3 years old before teaching them anything would you?

Domestic Adjustment for Adult Dogs. Designed for young adult, and adult dogs.
